This song was inspired by the trip of my young cousin from his home in Australia to Canada for the first time during the winter months. The song has a fun adventure feel and follows the young boy's adventure of experiencing winter.

Once there was a boy in Oz,
Who liked to play in his backyard,
With his dog Millie and his kangaroo

To Millie he said
Lets travel and make new friends,
Over the ocean wide.

So off they went to Canada,
To the great white north,
Where he made a friend of a polar bear
And learned to slide down the snow.

Then they made snowmen and skated around on a pond
And they made snow forts in his grandparents backyard but,

Then one day the fun did end
And he headed back to Oz again
Waving goodbye as he went away.

The polar bear said you're my friend
And you're always welcome back again
Along with Millie and your kangaroo
